So what if schools did not teach, but instead managed a network of smaller centers that were largely autonomously led by expert teachers and counselors? These centers could offer personalized small class experiences to students and their quality would be managed/monitored by the school.
This could potentially reduce travel-to-school distances, improve pupil to teacher ratios, allow greater use of education technologies and eliminate a lot of school overheads. School events could bring together entire classes or school audience in a central location episodically. Learning Centers could collaborate and conduct inter-center projects.
Experts and subject teachers could spend their time in one or more learning centers for convenience of the students. Facilities for LABs and sports could be shared facilities.
